Finishing, Hanging & Maintenance
Finishing and hanging are part of the original plan. The panel, coating system, hardware, wall, weather, and future maintenance all work together.
Complete the final inspectionGeometry, coverage, edges, and records
Check the quilt at close range and intended viewing distance. Confirm complete coverage, clean boundaries, protected edges, stable coating, correct color placement, and cured touch-ups. Record every product used.
Indoor finishingWhen a clear coat may not be necessary
A well-cured compatible paint may be the final indoor surface. Add a clear coating only for a defined reason and only after confirming compatibility, sheen, color change, cure requirements, and application method on a sample.
Outdoor weather protectionFaces, edges, holes, joints, and drainage
Durability depends on the complete exterior-rated system, not clear coat alone. Protect every moisture path, keep water from being trapped behind the panel, and allow inspection and future maintenance.
Choose mounting hardwarePanel weight, wall structure, and exposure
Match fasteners and brackets to the panel, substrate, load, wind exposure, and manufacturer requirements. Large or elevated installations may require a qualified installer or local structural guidance.
Plan the installationLayout, access, spacing, and safety
Confirm the final position, level reference, clearances, support points, drainage, safe access, and removal path. Do not improvise high or heavy installations from a ladder.
Inspect and maintainCatch small problems early
Periodically inspect coating, edges, fasteners, joints, drainage, and the supporting wall. Clean gently with compatible methods. Document fading, cracks, lifting, movement, or moisture and repair the underlying cause before cosmetic touch-up.
