How to Fix Paint Bleed on a Barn Quilt
Paint bleed is usually a small boundary problem, not a reason to repaint the whole board. Let the area dry, identify why the edge failed, and rebuild the line deliberately.

Problem
The new color has moved beneath the tape, leaving a jagged bump, fuzzy edge, or flooded intersection.
Why it happens
The surface may be textured or dusty; tape may not be fully burnished; an intersection may contain a gap; too much paint may have been pushed toward the edge; or the tape/base-coat combination may be unsuitable.
How to prevent it
Prepare a smooth, clean base; test the tape; burnish the active edge; use thin coats; paint away from the tape; and consider sealing the edge with the underlying color.
How to fix a small bleed
Let the paint dry. Use a small quality brush and the neighboring color to cut the intended boundary back into place. Apply thin paint and let each repair coat settle before judging coverage.
How to fix a long edge
Once the surface is stable enough for tape, re-mask the correct boundary. Seal the edge if appropriate, then repaint only the affected strip.
How to fix an intersection
Use the geometry to re-establish the true point. Repair one color at a time and allow it to become ready before masking the next boundary.
Best practice
Make a system test on scrap using the real panel, primer, base coat, tape, colored paint, tools, coat thickness, and removal timing.

- Use opaque paint sparingly; a thick repair can become more visible than the original bleed.

Can I scrape off paint bleed?
Scraping can damage the base coat and create a larger repair. Controlled repainting is usually safer.
Should I use clear sealer along the tape edge?
A base-color edge seal is easier to color-match. Any clear product must be compatible and tested because it can change sheen or adhesion.
